After 20 years in the banking industry, Peggy E. Henderson decided to leave corporate management, where she worked as Regional Vice President for Mercantile Bank, and devote time to her family, church, and community. She has served on numerous community and church boards. Peggy is passionate about youth, their pursuit of education, faith, service to others, and cultural experiences. She was one of the founders and former Chair of the St. Elizabeth Youth Scholarship Fund. For eighteen years, the fund has assisted youth with their post-secondary education. Peggy is a native St. Louisan. She graduated from Rosati-Kain High School and attended St. Louis University (one year) before beginning her banking career.
