Judy-Ferguson Shaw
FOUNDER AND CEO
Mrs. Judy-Ferguson Shaw is a community activist and retired educator who is enthusiastic about education, youth development, and the electoral process. After 34 years in public education, she retired from the Ferguson-Florissant School District as Guidance and Counseling Department Chair at McCluer North High School (MN). During her counseling career, she founded the MN Minority Scholars Organization and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Tours, the latter of which introduced high school and middle school students to higher education. Outside of her professional role, Mrs. Shaw has always been active in the local community. She is a former elected official for the City of Berkeley, a role in which she also connected and served on the national level; and a member of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., where she spearheaded youth development and academic programs for the Alpha Zeta Chapter for 23 years. Currently, Mrs. Shaw is the Grade A for Change (GAFC) Political Action Committee Campaign Manager and Treasurer. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Harris Teacher’s College (now Harris-Stowe State University) and an M.A. in Secondary School Guidance and Counseling from Northeast Missouri State University. She is the founder and CEO of the Ellis Jerome Shaw Day of Opportunities.
